Why HiredIQ exists
After 30 years running businesses, hiring hundreds of people and reviewing thousands of CVs, I moved into recruitment. And I immediately saw the same problem from the other side.
Good people applying for the wrong roles. CVs that did not speak the right language for the specific employer. Applications going into silence with no feedback and no way of knowing why.
Every tool designed to help candidates made this worse. High scores across the board. Generic advice. Encouragement to apply for everything. None of it honest. All of it designed to keep you subscribed rather than help you get hired.
HiredIQ was built to do the opposite. To give every candidate the honest assessment a hiring manager would give them, if hiring managers ever gave honest assessments.
What makes HiredIQ different
Every other CV tool on the market is built to inflate your score. High scores keep you subscribed. Low scores make you cancel. So every tool tells you to go for it.
HiredIQ is built to tell the truth. If you are a 31% match for a role, you will see 31. Not 67. Not a reassuring message about closing the gaps. The honest number.
The score that saves you from spending a week on an application that was never going to go anywhere is worth more than any inflated score that sends you into a process you were never going to win.
How the scoring works
Every analysis produces a score from 0 to 100 across four honest bands:
- Strong Candidate (75-100): You are genuinely competitive. Apply and use the CV rewrite to maximise your chances.
- Good Match (55-74): A solid application is possible. A tailored CV can make the difference between shortlist and silence.
- Borderline (40-54): Significant gaps exist. Apply only if you can genuinely address them.
- Do Not Apply (0-39): Your time is better spent finding roles where you are genuinely competitive.
